M&E specialist Dalkia Engineering has appointed former TClarke director Rob Faro as its new UK managing director.

He replaces Steve Wignall, who has retired.

Faro announced his appointment in a LinkedIn post, stating he looked forward to working on “exciting projects” with a focus on “people, culture, safety, innovation, delivery excellence, and progress toward net zero”.

Gautier Jacob, chief executive of Dalkia UK, said Faro “brings a wealth of industry experience and proven leadership that aligns perfectly with our strategic ambitions. His expertise will undoubtedly strengthen our commitment to excellence, innovation and safety across all aspects of our operations”.

Faro moved to Dalkia after spending 14 years at rival M&E firm TClarke, where he held several senior roles. He was appointed managing director for the South West in 2015 and later served as director for the South of England from 2020 until his departure in 2025.

He joined TClarke in late 2011 and was appointed divisional director in 2014.

Faro began his career as an M&E manager at Mears Group in 2003, before moving to Lorne Stewart in 2005, where he spent two years as a project engineer. He joined Mitie in 2007 as a contracts manager, remaining there for nearly five years before moving to TClarke.

Dalkia Engineering Limited is owned by EDF Group through its French-headquartered subsidiary, the Dalkia Group. Formerly known as Imtech UK, the company rebranded in 2023 to align more closely with its parent companies and support its UK expansion strategy.
