Contractors have been alerted to a \u00a3616m building and consultancy framework for NHS projects in Wales.<\/span><\/p>\n

The second-generation framework will replace an existing one that started in 2018 and is due to run out in April 2024. It will be managed by the NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership \u2013 an independent organisation owned by NHS Wales.<\/span><\/p>\n

The NHS Building for Wales 2 Framework will cover construction, project management, engineering design and quantity surveying. Civils work, structural engineering and site-supervision jobs may also be tendered through the framework.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Welsh Government requires all major capital projects by NHS Wales to be procured via the framework, which will be split into two lots: those above \u00a320m in value, and those valued at between \u00a37m and \u00a320m.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a notice, the contracting authority invited interested contractors to a \u2018meet the buyer\u2019 event. \u201c[NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership] wants to engage with the market regarding changes to the framework and to gain a better understanding of the market and any improvements that can be made to the new framework,\u201d it said.<\/span><\/p>\n
