{"id":485498,"date":"2023-09-04T17:53:21","date_gmt":"2023-09-04T16:53:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.constructionnews.co.uk\/?p=485498"},"modified":"2024-03-25T10:41:53","modified_gmt":"2024-03-25T10:41:53","slug":"kier-tilbury-douglas-and-wates-land-spots-on-8bn-framework","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.constructionnews.co.uk\/contracts\/kier-tilbury-douglas-and-wates-land-spots-on-8bn-framework-04-09-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Kier, Tilbury Douglas and Wates land spots on \u00a38bn framework"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kier, Tilbury Douglas and Wates are among 87 contractors to have been appointed to an \u00a38bn public sector framework.<\/p>\n<p>The Procure Partnerships Framework focused on construction work when it launched four years ago, but has now been expanded to include decarbonisation and retrofit, demolition and site preparation, and infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Designed to support local authorities, NHS trusts, education providers and blue-light services, it will operate across nine sub-regions, covering five value-bands, starting at \u00a350,000 and going up to \u00a350m.<\/p>\n<p>The selection process for the new four-year framework, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.constructionnews.co.uk\/sections\/news\/starting-gun-fired-on-8bn-public-sector-framework-18-04-2023\/\">which started in April<\/a>, has seen the reappointment of 35 of the original contractors.<\/p>\n<p>In the construction section \u2013 the largest of the four disciplines \u2013 58 firms have been appointed, including Bam, Galliford Try, Kier and McLaren.<\/p>\n<p>Several of those chosen for construction work \u2013 including Tilbury Douglas, Vinci, Wates and Willmott Dixon \u2013 are also among the 30 firms to have secured places on the decarbonisation and retrofit part of the framework.<\/p>\n<p>For demolition and site-preparation work, 12 firms made the final cut, among them Manchester-based PP O\u2019Connor and Birmingham outfit DSM Demolition.<\/p>\n<p>Twenty-one contractors landed spots on the infrastructure section of the framework, including Eric Wright, John Sisk &amp;
