{"id":524025,"date":"2025-07-09T08:45:29","date_gmt":"2025-07-09T07:45:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.constructionnews.co.uk\/?p=524025"},"modified":"2025-07-09T08:58:12","modified_gmt":"2025-07-09T07:58:12","slug":"reisner-leaves-civil-engineering-body-for-mace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.constructionnews.co.uk\/peoplemoves\/reisner-leaves-civil-engineering-body-for-mace-09-07-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Reisner leaves civil engineering body for Mace"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Alasdair Reisner has left his role as chief executive of the Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA) after 11 years, joining Mace as advisory director.<\/p>\n<p>He announced his new role at the tier one contractor on LinkedIn, almost two weeks after leaving CECA.<\/p>\n<p><em>Construction News <\/em>understands that his responsibilities are being fulfilled on an interim basis by Lorraine Gregory, CECA\u2019s regional director in its Midlands office.<\/p>\n<p>Reisner spent almost 17 years at CECA after joining the organisation in September 2008, following a year-long stint as deputy news editor on <em>CN<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Starting as head of industry affairs, he rose through the ranks to serve as director of external affairs for three years until becoming chief executive in April 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Reisner\u2019s departure comes shortly after Marie-Claude Hemming left her position as CECA\u2019s director of operations after almost four years, to join the Association for Consultancy and Engineering as director of policy.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.constructionnews.co.uk\/contractors\/mace\/\">Mace<\/a> spokesperson said: \u201cWe are pleased to confirm the appointment of Alasdair Reisner to our Mace Consult advisory business.
