Costain has appointed Andy Denman as its new road sector director, as the firm sharpens its focus on delivering complex transport schemes and maintenance services across the UK network.<\/p>\n
Denman has joined the business from Amey, where he was highways sector director, managing relationships with National Highways, Transport Scotland and local authorities.<\/p>\n
His previous roles include leading integrated delivery operations at Ringway Jacobs and senior positions at Skanska and Atkins.<\/p>\n
In his new role, Denman will lead the infrastructure specialist\u2019s strategy for growth in road renewals and major highways schemes, particularly with public sector clients.<\/p>\n
He will oversee work delivered under National Highways\u2019 latest Specialist Professional and Technical Services Framework (SPaTS3), which covers the Roads Investment Strategy 3 period (2026-2031).<\/p>\n
Costain was named to the SPaTS3 framework in June, and is already working with National Highways on the M60 Simister Island Interchange upgrade.<\/p>\n
Funding for the scheme was confirmed in the government\u2019s Infrastructure Pipeline published earlier this year.<\/p>\n
Costain transportation managing director Jonathan Willcock said Denman\u2019s appointment would support growth in what he called a \u201cnationally-critical roads sector\u201d.<\/p>\n
He added: \u201cOur strategy of delivering engineering-led services to customers in strong markets is working.\u201d<\/p>\n
Denman said he would focus on partnering with clients and the supply chain to \u201cdrive innovation, efficiency and safety\u201d across a diverse portfolio of road infrastructure work.<\/p>\n
