Morgan Sindall saw its share price surge this morning after upgrading its full-year performance forecast for the third time this year.<\/p>\n

The FTSE250 contractor, which came second in the 2025 CN100<\/a> list, told the markets it expects its group performance for 2025 to now be \u201csignificantly ahead of its previous expectations\u201d.<\/p>\n

Morgan Sindall\u2019s optimism is due to \u201cstrong trading\u201d in its fit-out business, where it expects profits to \u201csignificantly exceed\u201d its previous forecasts.<\/p>\n

The contractor’s trading update saw the group\u2019s share price jump by around 10 per cent to above \u00a348 this morning.<\/p>\n

The firm previously upgraded its group performance forecast in March and June this year.<\/p>\n

Morgan Sindall\u2019s<\/a> fit-out division, which includes subsidiaries Morgan Lovell and Overbury, has a current order book of \u00a31.6bn.<\/p>\n

The figure is 8 per cent up on the half-year position, the firm said on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Morgan Lovell provides design and build fit-outs, while Overbury focusses on traditional fit-out and refurbishment.<\/p>\n

Overall the group has a total\u00a0<\/span>secured order book of \u00a312.2bn, which is 2 per cent ahead of its half-year and 7 per cent up on the 2024 year-end position.<\/p>\n

In its last full-year Morgan Sindall reported increased group pre-tax profits of \u00a3171.9m off revenue off revenue of \u00a34.5bn.<\/p>\n

The firm\u2019s housebuilding subsidiary, Lovell, has also secured some significant new jobs.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, Lovell was chosen as preferred developer on a 3,500-home regeneration scheme in Birmingham.<\/p>\n

And last month Lovell signed a development agreement with Cardiff Council<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0Vale of Glamorgan Council<\/span>\u00a0to deliver 2,500 new homes across 25 sites.<\/p>\n

Morgan Sindall<\/a> also said both its construction and infrastructure divisions “remain on track to deliver profits in line with previous guidance and continue to be supported by high quality growing order books”.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

However the group\u2019s mixed-use partnerships business – Muse Places – is faring less well. The subsidiary\u2019s operating losses are expected to be nearly double the \u00a31.5m reported in the group\u2019s half-year, the filing said.<\/p>\n

Its performance reflects \u201cincreased investment costs both on schemes yet to start on site and relating to future opportunities\u201d, the update said.<\/p>\n

In its 2024 full-year, Muse Places reported a 68 per cent drop in pre-tax profit to \u00a39.2m as turnover more than halved to \u00a390.5m.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
