An extra \u00a340bn of work than originally anticipated could be up for grabs under the next iteration of the UK Government\u2019s flagship construction framework.<\/p>\n
The Crown Commercial Service yesterday (4 February 2026) released an edited pipeline notice for its Construction Works and Associated Services 3 framework, which is set to go live in January 2027.<\/p>\n
It estimates the value of work available will be \u00a3120bn plus VAT over eight years, compared with the previous estimate of \u00a380bn contained in the original notice published last year.<\/p>\n
The original launch date has been pushed back from this summer to the start of next year.<\/p>\n
The framework will combine three of its existing agreements into a single route to market for public sector clients.<\/p>\n
It is intended to replace RM6088 (Construction Works and Associated Services) and RM6267 (Construction Works and Associated Services 2\/ProCure 23) when they expire in October 2026.<\/p>\n
It will also absorb the Offsite Construction Solutions framework, RM6184, with a short overlap until that agreement ends in January 2027.<\/p>\n
The Crown Commercial Service said the new framework will cover supplier-led design, manufacture, supply and installation of construction works, and related services across built assets and infrastructure.<\/p>\n
This will include civil engineering and infrastructure works, as well as the hire and purchase of two-dimensional and three-dimensional offsite construction solutions.<\/p>\n
It will also incorporate the fifth generation of the NHS England ProCure framework, known as ProCure 24.<\/p>\n
This will replace ProCure 23 on its expiry and continue to provide construction solutions for NHS England capital projects.<\/p>\n
Market engagement will be carried out jointly by the Crown Commercial Service and ProCure as part of a combined exercise with customers and suppliers.<\/p>\n
The scope of the framework will include construction and building work, civil and structural engineering, repair and maintenance services, real estate services and architectural, construction, engineering and inspection services.<\/p>\n
It will also cover prefabricated, modular and portable buildings, along with demolition, site preparation and site clearance works.<\/p>\n
The Crown Commercial Service said the scope was not exhaustive and will be further defined as engagement with public sector clients and suppliers progresses.<\/p>\n
The framework is expected to be available to central government departments and all other UK public sector bodies, including special purpose vehicles acting on behalf of public bodies.<\/p>\n
It will cover requirements across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, with the potential for limited overseas use, subject to further definition.<\/p>\n
Customer sectors in scope are expected to include health, education, culture, media and sport, local communities and housing, defence and security, government policy and infrastructure.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
