Analysts are upgrading their profit predictions for Morgan Sindall after the firm issued an unscheduled trading update due to its fit-out division outperforming expectations.<\/p>\n

Under Article 17 of the Market Abuse Regulations, companies must disclose information directly concerning themselves to the stock market as soon as possible so that the shares can be priced fairly.<\/p>\n

In a release this morning (12 February), just two weeks before the company is due to post its full-year results for 2025, Morgan Sindall<\/a> said: \u201cFit out\u2019s profits for 2026 are now expected to be significantly ahead of expectations and significantly above the top end of the medium-term target of \u00a380m-\u00a3100m, driving a group outlook for 2026 also ahead of expectations.\u201d<\/p>\n

As a result of the unscheduled update, stockbrokers Peel Hunt increased it’s 2026 pre-tax profit forecast for the whole Morgan Sindall<\/a> group by nine percent, from \u00a3195m to \u00a3213m.<\/p>\n

“Fit out continues to confound the critics,” Peel Hunt said in a research note. “We hold [full-year 2027] estimates for now, but investors may still be thinking \u2018when\u2019 rather than \u2018if\u2019 the next positive move comes.”<\/p>\n

Morgan Sindall\u2019s notice also said that the group entered 2026 with a record level secured orderbook and work at preferred bidder stage \u2013 up 17 per cent to \u00a319.1bn from the prior year.<\/p>\n

In its half-year results to 30 June 2025, released in September, the order book at Morgan Sindall\u2019s fit-out division<\/a> rose 19 per cent compared with the same period in the previous year to \u00a31.45bn.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, revenue was 33 per cent higher at \u00a3838m, which translated into a 44 per cent rise in operating profit to \u00a358.1m. Operating margin was 6.9 per cent, up from 6.6 per cent in the same period in 2024.<\/p>\n

Morgan Sindall\u2019s fit-out division is comprised of two firms, Overbury and Morgan Lovell.<\/p>\n

Morgan Sindall also said all its other divisions remained on track to perform in line with previous expectations.<\/p>\n

Shares in Morgan Sindall rose 7 per cent shortly after the London market opened on Thursday, but settled back to trade 5 per cent higher by late morning.<\/p>\n

The group is set to announce its full-year results for the 12 months to 31 December 2025 on 25 February.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
