The entry deadline for the CN Awards 2026 has been extended to 27 February as the event marks its 30th year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Contractors and project teams have been given additional time to submit entries across this year\u2019s categories, covering projects, initiatives and individual leadership achievements.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now in its third decade, the CN Awards is regarded as one of the sector\u2019s most rigorous competitions. Finalists are subject to in-person judging by an independent panel of industry experts.<\/span><\/p>\n

Last year\u2019s winners were featured in a dedicated<\/span> Winners\u2019 Supplement<\/span><\/a> published by <\/span>Construction News<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 2025 awards highlighted projects and initiatives spanning health and safety, training, sustainability and major project delivery.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lavinia Toma, rising star at Keltbray, won the Rising Star award for her work on health, safety and wellbeing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Judges said she was \u201cdelivering genuine impact in her role and has a very bright future\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Murphy secured the Training Excellence award for its Development for All programme, backed by a \u00a34.6m investment in learning.<\/span><\/p>\n

Judges said the initiative was \u201cstrategically designed to address critical skills gaps, both within the company and across the wider industry\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sustainability featured prominently across categories.<\/span><\/p>\n

KpH Deconstruction Services was named Carbon Reduction Champion for embedding carbon tracking and reuse into its operations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Judges said the firm was \u201ccreating a true circular economy\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Octopus Energy won recognition for its Net Zero Bill Free Homes initiative, which combines low-carbon technology with an energy-cost guarantee.<\/span><\/p>\n

Judges described the approach as \u201ca gamechanger\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the major projects category, Willmott Dixon and its partners won Project of the Year (over \u00a350m) for delivering Stockport Interchange on time and on budget.<\/span><\/p>\n

The scheme integrated a transport hub with new homes and public realm works. Judges said the team had addressed \u201ccomplex existing urban realm\u201d challenges.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the contractor categories, Careys and Mace Group were recognised for their financial performance, alongside digital transformation and workforce development.<\/span><\/p>\n

The supplement set out the reasons behind each award, detailing the innovation, leadership and measurable outcomes assessed during judging.<\/span><\/p>\n

To mark the awards\u2019 landmark year, firms are being encouraged to benchmark their performance against peers across the sector.<\/span><\/p>\n
